I am going to show you which products really work and which are just gimmicks. Some of them are not good for your health.
We must start with the most important parasites.
Myiasis and hookworm are the two most important parasitic diseases. We all have them, they are part of our lives. They are caused by parasitic worms, and the worm is our host. Myiasis is also called as hookworm disease, but there is no one single hookworm. There are three types of worms that cause myiasis: Myxochromocytoma (M. xochromocytoma), Trichuris trichiura (T. trichiura) and Treponema pallidum (T. pallidum) – all of which are the same worms, and in fact they have the same names.
The main symptoms of hookworm are: pain and tenderness all over the body, fever (not just in the lower body) which can last for three days or longer and abdominal pain, sometimes accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea. In addition, most people will develop a skin rash that will appear as pimples, usually on the arms and legs.
It is important to know that hookworms are very infectious and that they are transmitted from person to person. Although it is possible to wash the mouth, arms and legs with soap and water or with a water-based product, the use of a detergent-based product is not recommended because these products are highly resistant to hookworm. If it is used, the solution needs to be applied directly onto the affected areas, not to the entire body.
